A hearty production of Aladdin was given by a local pantomime group last week. The Cheddoners presented a rendition of the popular tale at Cheddon Fitzpaine Memorial Hall from Thursday until Saturday.

Aladdin was the third production in the new village hall and the second time they have performed a version of this pantomime, the first being in 1993.

Two of the original cast also took place in the 2006 production. The script was put together by Cheddoners' memeber Andrew Morgan, who also directed.

Choreography was by Candy Adkins. Aladdin was played by Carina Eatly, the Genie of the Lamp was Elaine Duley, Wishy-Washy - Malcolm Lown and the Good Fairy - Theresa Hanratty.
